French term or phrase: pour jonction à l'enquête
Hello,

I am translating a series of documents for a court case from French (France) into British English and I'm unsure about a turn of phrase in one. The phrase in question appears in a letter from the State Prosecutor to the plaintiff's lawyer. Please see below for full context:

'En réponse à votre courrier, j'ai l'honneur de vous informer que j'ai transmis votre courrier au commissariat de Tours pour jonction à l'enquête en cours.'

Would '...so that it can be incorporated into the [ongoing] investigation' be the most suitable translation here?

Many thanks!
