Spanish term
Juicio de realidad conservado
Spanish to English
Medical
Medical (general)
Psychiatry
This appears in a medical report for a patient presenting with various mental health issues. Translation at the request of the patient.
Would the translation simply be "preserved sense of reality". I have researched the terms in Spanish and English, but I am unsure of the results and I would like to know whether there is a specific specialist English term in psychiatry.
Juicio de realidad: Capacidad para reconocer la verdadera relacion de las ideas y extraer conclusiones acertadas de una experiencia

I could not find an official medical definition for "sense of reality".
Many thanks!

preserved reality testing
or reality testing is preserved
Yes "preserved" is the word for "conservado"
For the purpose of this study, module B of SCID was applied for the screening of psychotic symptoms: hallucinations and delusions. Afterward, subjects were divided into three groups: P1, subjects without psychotic symptoms; P2, subjects with subthreshold psychotic symptoms (present but transient symptoms with preserved reality testing); P3, subjects with psychotic symptoms. Groups did not differ in age, educational level, or marital status.

in contact with reality
Or:
"in touch with reality"
Over 100,000 Google hits for "in contact with reality" AND "psychiatry."
Another possibility here would be "adequate reality testing."

: I do not think the word "test" applies in this context

"Adequate reality testing" would probably be okay, but absolutely not simply "reality testing" (for reasons I explained in my comment on Dr. Faulkner's suggestion). Thank you, Denise. :)

Reality testing
This is one of the functions tested in psychoanalysis. The way it is written there, before a semicolon as if part of a list of other components, I would use the technical term "reality testing".

: Yes, "reality testing" is a function to be tested, but here the posted term is "juicio de realidad conservado," which would have to be "adequate/proper/good reality testing" (as I had indicated in my previous answer).
