marcar las palabras con aplausos

Explanation:
Muchos maestros usan la técnica del aplauso(batir palmas) en sus clases de gramática, silabicación, rítmica, rima, aritmética y más, para marcar o enfatizar la pronunciación, como método nemotécnico o de coordinación. Lo diría: marcar/enfatizar las palabras con palmadas/aplausos.

identificar las palabras en oraciones verbales / delimitar las palabras

Explanation:

Word Awareness
Understanding the concept of a word develops from students’
exposure to print and classroom activities that help them to
recognize how words—especially the function words that are more
abstract—exist as separate entities.
Initially, students may have difficulty isolating words in
sentences orally (clapping words in a sentence), especially if the
words have more than one syllable.

For the word candy, her teacher asked her to first clap the word. Kyla correctly identified the first part as can. The teacher said, "Write the word can that you know and then I'll show you something." After Kyla wrote can, the teacher wrote dy to make it candy.
Clapping words helps children think of words in parts and makes the phonological aspects of syllables more available to them. In this case, the action allowed Kyla to identify a phonological part that she knew and to connect it to a word she knew: she used a known word to get partway towards writing a new word.
