In a specification for oil field equipment, from Colombia, for translation to US English.
I have not seen this format before, but perhaps it represents a volume/volume percentage, i.e. equivalent to "v/v" in English?
"El [component] con Alto Nitrilo, debe tener Alto Contenido de Acrilonitrilo (NBRA) (mínimo 33%) con las siguientes características: resistencia a los aromáticos 5% de V x V, resistencia al H2S= 2 % V x V, resistencia a la sumatoria H2S y aromáticos = 7% V x V, máxima resistencia al CO2 = 5%."
