El término aparece varias veces a lo largo de un texto relacionado con una cirugía en el dedo del pie. Un ejemplo de una oración del texto en la que aparece el término es la siguiente:

"Se han descrito varias técnicas de extirpación, todas ellas abiertas, cruentas y con altas tasas de complicaciones."

Por lo que he investigado hasta ahora, se refiere a que la zona se llena de sangre, pero no he logrado encontrar el término adecuado en un contexto similar en inglés.

Entiendo que "cruenta" es una característica descriptiva del tipo de procedimiento y no una clasificación en sí como "open surgery". Tal vez por eso no damos con ese termino que nos elude, mientras que si aparece "bloodless surgery".

Ademas, "cruenta" implica mas' que sangre.

Por ejemplo, cuando mi padre (casi 4 décadas de realizar cirugías) habla de una cirugia "cruenta", no es la escena sangrienta en sí a lo que se refiere, sino el grado de agresión al cuerpo humano: extirpación de uno o más organos, u otras intervenciones drasticas para reparar el daño causado por accidentes, heridas de bala, etc.

Recien lo consulté y sugiere "agresiva" como sinonimo de cruenta. Tal vez va por ahi va tu solucion...

Entiendo que "cruenta" es una característica descriptiva del tipo de procedimiento y no una clasificación en sí como "open surgery". Tal vez por eso no damos con ese termino que nos elude, mientras que si aparece "bloodless surgery".

Ademas, "cruenta" implica mas' que sangre.

Asker: Gracias por la sugerencia. Hay algo que no me convence del todo y es que me parece que una operación puede ser invasiva sin necesidad de ser cruenta. La cruentación, por lo que he leído hasta ahora, es similar a "desbridamiento", cuando se elimina el tejido muerto de una herida.
