Born to a Cambodian father and a French linguist mother, I have built my career on my love for languages and learning more about different cultures. I graduated in both Chinese language and social anthropology and I'm still learning every day when translating.
Before stepping into the translation industry, I was a researcher in social anthropology specializing in international development in East and South-East Asian societies. At that time, I lived and worked between France and Asia and translating between English, Chinese and French was an important part of my work.
It made me willing to step forward into the translation word. In 2008, I became a linguist in charge of quality assurance for the French translators pool in a Beijing based large scale translation company. In 2009, I moved back to France and registered as an independent translator. I work as a full time freelance translator since then.
In recent years, I mainly translated Asian movies and TV shows subtitles and Chinese mangas (manhua).
