Twenty three years experience as a freelance translator - technical, financial and general translations. Experience in subtitling. Evaluation of tests for several international localisation offices. Software, hardware and Web localisation projects. Reviewing and proofreading projects. Collaborator in the making of the French-Portuguese Illustrated Dictionary for the Portuguese publisher Texto Editora. Technical translator for several car and building companies. Translator and journalist for the Portuguese newspapers 'Diário Económico' and 'Briefing'.
As a translator I was responsible for the introduction of translations for the words included in the French-Portuguese Illustrated Dictionary of this publisher.
I was the in-house translator for this construction company during a proposal for a dam in Morocco. In a first phase I translated into Portuguese all the charges for the proposal. In the second phase I was translating the proposal into French. Finally, I was the co-ordinator of all the translators involved in the last stage of the proposal. During the period I worked for BPC I was also responsible for the communication between BPC and Morocco.
