This is Ola, English to Arabic translator and a multilingual DTP expert seeking collaboration. Besides DTP, I provide other linguistic services such as transcription, subtitling installation and general QA.

I have been in printing and layouting almost my whole life, and I have been providing DTP services to Translation Agencies for more than 10 years now. I would like to offer you my services and to join your network of freelancers. 

DTP Services: 

·  Digitalizing: When you have an un-editable pdf file (without a live file) and you need to recreate it from scratch or create a right-to-left version of it using any graphics program, usually to be able to process it on a CAT tool.

·  Standard DTP for translation agencies:  When you need to replace the source text with a translated one, especially if the target is in a right-to-left language and the source is in a left-to-right one and vice versa.  

·   Applying Corrections: When you need to apply some corrections (proofreading for example) to an already translated file(s).

·  Transcription: I provide Arabic>Arabic transcription services in many dialects.

·  General Collaboration with translation agencies: helping translation agencies with any graphic, layout or finalizing related issues.

Subtitling Installation

I use Subtitling Workshop and Aegisub usually to install subtitles or perform QA on installed subtitles, but I am willing to learn and use any new software.

- I can install your translated text to any video

- I can deliver subtitles in separate files such as (srt, sub, sbv) or as a video file with the translation merged to it in one file.

Experience in QA

I provide QA services (visual QA), usually to translated and DTPed documents or subtitled videos to make sure they correspond to the source file. I know the importance of taking care of details when it comes to QA or revision.

Transcription:

I provide transcription Arabic<>Arabic in many dialects; Egyptian, Levantine (Syrian and Lebanese) and Iraqi. I can provide transcription in many formats, starting from general word processing programs like Word and Excel, to time coded .srt files ready to be used for subtitling.

Programs:            

·  Graphics programs: ADOBE Indesign-Illustrator-Photoshop- Acrobat Professional - CoreIDraw.

·  Office programs: MICROSOFT OFFICE Word-Excel-PowerPoint-publisher.

·  Other programs: SDL Trados-subtitling workshop-Aegisub-Adobe Audition. 

 I work from and into ALL languages and I have already experienced most of the known languages during my work as a DTP specialist.
