Управление рисками Банка осуществляется в отношении финансовых рисков (кредитный, рыночный, валютный риски, риски ликвидности и процентной ставки), операционных и юридических рисков. Главной задачей управления финансовыми рисками является определение лимитов риска и дальнейшее обеспечение соблюдения установленных лимитов. Оценка принимаемого риска также служит основой для оптимального распределения капитала с учетом рисков, ценообразованию по операциям и оценки результатов деятельности. Управление операционными и юридическими рисками должно обеспечивать надлежащее соблюдение внутренних регламентов и процедур в целях минимизации операционных и юридических рисков.
Кредитный риск. Банк принимает на себя кредитный риск, а именно риск того, что контрагент не сможет полностью погасить задолженность в установленный срок. Банк контролирует кредитный риск, устанавливая лимиты на одного заемщика или группы связанных заемщиков. Банк осуществляет регулярный мониторинг таких рисков; лимиты пересматриваются как минимум ежегодно. Лимиты кредитного риска по продуктам, заемщикам и отраслям утверждаются Кредитным комитетом и Правлением Банка.
Риск на одного заемщика, включая банки и брокерские компании, дополнительно ограничивается лимитами, покрывающими балансовые и забалансовые риски, а также внутридневными лимитами риска поставок в отношении торговых инструментов, таких, как форвардные валютно-обменные контракты. Фактическое соблюдение лимитов в отношении уровня принимаемого риска контролируется на ежедневной основе.
Управление кредитным риском осуществляется посредством регулярного анализа способности существующих и потенциальных заемщиков погасить процентные платежи и основную сумму задолженности, а также посредством изменения кредитных лимитов в случае необходимости. Кроме этого, Банк управляет кредитным риском, в частности, путем получения залога и поручительств компаний и физических лиц.
Максимальный уровень кредитного риска Банка, как правило, отражается в балансовой стоимости финансовых активов в балансе. Возможность взаимозачета активов и обязательств не имеет существенного значения для снижения потенциального кредитного риска.
Кредитный риск по внебалансовым финансовым инструментам определяется как вероятность убытков из-за неспособности другого участника операции с данным финансовым инструментом выполнить условия договора. Банк применяет ту же кредитную политику в отношении условных обязательств, что и в отношении балансовых финансовых инструментов, основанную на процедурах утверждения сделок, использования лимитов, ограничивающих риск, и мониторинга.

Bank’s risk management applies to financial risks (credit, market, foreign exchange, liquidity risks and interest rates), as well as operational and legal risks. The main task in risk management is determining risk limits and ensuring further compliance with the established limits. Assumed risk’s estimate also serves as the basis for optimal distribution of capital reflecting these risks, operational pricing and evaluation of business activity. Operational and legal risk management must ensure proper compliance with internal regulations and procedures in order to minimize operational and legal risks.
Credit risk. The Bank assumes credit risk, namely the risk of the counterparty not being able to settle the outstanding loan by the due date. The Bank controls credit risks by setting limits per borrower or per groups of affiliated borrowers. The Bank regularly monitors such risks; the limits are reviewed at the very least on an annual basis. The credit risk limits on products, borrowers and industries are approved by the Credit committee and the Bank’s managing board.
Per customer risk, including banks and brokerage companies, is further restricted by limits covering on-balance and off-balance sheet risks, as well as by daily delivery risk limits applicable to trading instruments, such as forward foreign exchange contracts. Actual compliance with the assumed risk level is supervised on a daily basis.
Credit risk management is carried out by regularly analyzing existing and potential borrowers’ ability to make interest and principal payments on an outstanding loan as well as by modifying credit limits if necessary. Beyond that, the Bank manages credit risk, in particular by securing collaterals and guarantees from companies and physical persons.
As a rule, the maximum value of the Bank’s credit risk is reflected in the balance sheet value of the balance sheet’s financial assets. The possibility of offsetting assets and liabilities does not carry significant importance in lowering potential credit risk.
Credit risk on off-balance sheet financial instruments is defined as probability of loss due to the counterparty to the given financial instrument transaction being unable to abide by the terms of the agreement. The Bank applies the same credit policy to contingent liabilities as it does to on-balance sheet financial instruments, the one based on transaction approval procedures using exposure limits and monitoring.
