I think that's what happens when a simple task is decided by a committee and it needs to incorporate everybody's input...

Exactly,
Anything that does not have my neme in the greeting line, the senders name, title and company in the bottom or is sent to undisclosed recipients goes staright to the trash can. And for those who actually waste time replying this kind of e-mail, you better be willing to work for peanuts or for free.
