Spanish term or phrase: dinero paralizado
I am currently translating an email correspondence between two engineers and I am having trouble finding the right term for the following phrase:
"Una vez que ha pasado el verano, no me interesa tener una cortadora y un dinero inmovilizado durante 9 meses."

My translation is as follows:
"Once the summer is over, I have no interest in having money and a saw cutter at a standstill for 9 months."

Please let me know if you have a better suggestion, since I don't think you can have "money at a standstill".
Thanks in advance.

frozen money
Explanation:
Considering the context (and without further context),

I'm *guessing* it's 2 Ice Machine Engineers discussing temporary summer contracts here, and not being happy about it; Thinking along these lines, I would think one is saying to the other: "Once the summer is over, I don't want to be left with cutters in hand, and frozen money for the next 9 months." ("frozen" having a double meaning here, considering their profession - definitely detecting sarcasm).

Again, I stress this is just guesswork...

Explanation:
Hi Eyro, I would perhaps make a slight tweak to your suggestion:

"Once the summer is over, I have no interest in having either my money ( or funds) or a saw cutter inactive for 9 months."

Saludos,

agree  Christine Walsh: As it's probably fairly informal, it could also be 'tied up'
