constitutional symptoms Explanation: "Síndrome de impregnación" is a rather old-fashioned and poorly defined term for what are usually referred to in English as "constitutional symptoms"—typically weakness/fatigue, involuntary weight loss, and anorexia (sometimes low-grade fever). It is often indicative of cancer or other wasting diseases, such as tuberculosis. Depending on the country, it may also be called "síndrome de repercusión general" or simply "repercusión general". This is a fascinating (to me), almost culture-specific concept, and I don't think it is recognized as a pathological entity in its own right in any formal system (ICD, etc.). Also worth noting that "síndrome coledociano" is *not* a "choledochal syndrome", but rather Charcot's triad. Suerte :) |
