English term or phrase: lady justice
Hello,

I am translating this hearing with no much context and at the beginning of the document it says:

Hearing date: XXXXXX
Lady Justice XXXXX: Introduction
This is an appeal against conviction with the leave of the single judge who granted the necessary extension of time of 3 years and 15 days.

I am wondering about the Lady Justice xxx bit. Is it just a way to call the Court of appeal, or more broadly the Justice in itself?

Dame Justice me parait désuet.

Thanks for your help!

French translation:Madame la Juge XXX
Explanation:

neutral  AllegroTrans: The "Anglo-saxons" have been "dead" (or at least fully assimilated into the populations of the British Isles) for more than 1.5 millennia and the legal system to which you allude owes much of its foundation to the Normans

Lady Justice XXX

Explanation:
