Resume
Professional Background

I worked from 2001 to 2006 as a translator under the long-term commitment with two
Korean companies providing translation services to the daily newspapers which publish their English edition everyday. Since then, I have been working as freelance translator or interpreter.

Originally, I joined KDB Bank, the largest government bank in Korea in 1980 and worked until 2004. Among the various departments I have worked in, those departments were directly related to the necessity of multiple language skill such as the Foreign Exchange Dept., Foreign Loan Dept., Foreign Capital Dept., International Investment Dept. and the New York Branch.
Especially when working at the Foreign Loan Department from 1990 to 1993, I took the assignments for the translation of manuals of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) under the World Bank, carried out the feasibility study on the projects and worked out the appraisal reports in 2 languages of Korean and English respectively based on the financial analysis and loan applications from various industries including the automobile, electronic, paper manufacturing companies and others.
I also worked for 6 years in the Legal Section dealing with various legal problems that the Bank met in the course of conducting businesses. During this period, I have experienced the practical legal matters in various commercial as well as financial contracts.

My last assignment at the Bank was General Manager of New York Branch for 2 years, after working as general manager of the International Investment Department which was assisting the companies going abroad to invest and construct overseas factories.

Since retiring from KDB Bank, I worked for Crown Confectionary Co. Ltd, one of the big three in that industry in Korea, as the Standing Auditor for 2 years until 2008.

In December, 2009, I obtained the realtor license from Pennsylvania State, USA and joined Prudential Fox & Roach REALTORS to work as an agent for several years.
