Hi there!

1) Is there a way that I can search in the source or the target text and promptly go to the location found in Wordfast Anywhere?

2) May I download and upload an Glossary file?

I'm not sure what you mean here. Wordfast Anywhere has a concordance search feature that will let you check if a word (or expression) is in the TM. Is this what you are interested in?

Yes, you can upload a glossary, as long as it is in the Wordfast format. In other words, it has to be a tab-delimited text file in the following format:

source_term1(tab)target_term1
source_term2(tab)target_term2
etc.

You can also use additional fields like comments, attributes etc.

If you have a glossary in your Wordfast Anywhere account (for instance after having created one there and added new terminology to it), you can of course download it locally.

AFAIK, that function is meant for one-way exchange only: it's purpose is to allow update of a Wordfast Classic or Trados Workbench TM. It is not meant to be reimported back into Wordfast Anywhere.

Generally speaking, questions about Wordfast Anywhere are best asked on the dedicated mailing list at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wordfast_Anywhere/

Searching and finding in Wf Anywhere Mar 20, 2012

When you get the search results in Wf Anywhere, each sentence (or a part of a sentence) is preceded with a number - this is the number of a segment within your file being translated. Click the yellow arrows to see the outline of your file with the segment numbers and simply click the number requested - you'll be taken to the segment desired.

Do not forget: you can do "find & replace" without visiting separate segments.

Good luck!

Marcelina

Hi Dominique,

Could you please tell me how to download and upload the glossary in WFA? I can't find the button or the menu item I need.

Thanks,

Jie
