Ah, a muggy June evening on the Byward Market... and 3 members meeting for a light supper.

Yes, 3 members, although we had 15 at first who had signed up! We changed the venue from the Thousand Islands to the Rideau Canal for a cruise, as sign-ups began to dwindle, because we wanted a destination that could accommodate the majority. Eventually we settled on supper only, and three of us enjoyed gourmet pizzas on the terrace, enjoying the foot traffic passing us by.

Betty told me that it was the report of the last pow-wow that urged her to attend this one. Good thing, that! She has recently returned from a trip to her homeland, China, and had many interesting stories to tell ;-)

All three of us had a similar refrain: we *must* take Sunday off, or we have no days off in the week! (mind you, I worked all day before attending the pow-wow, but there you have it. What's a freelancer's definition of the weekend? Two more working days till Monday).

At any rate it was fun, relaxing, and informative. Let's hope next time we have more participants!
