The dummy skin may be made from any material and may have a thickness corresponding to a thickness of the uncured composite material to be placed onto the SMP apparatus. The dummy skin may be made of composite material forms, metal, unreinforced plastics, or any material exhibiting good dimensional stability under heat and pressure. For example, the dummy skin may be formed of composite material, such as graphite fiber reinforced epoxy composite laminate. The dummy skin is configured to be placed within the rigid external tool, as later described herein, during deformation of the SMP apparatus into the rigid tool configuration. In some embodiments of the inven-tion, the dummy skin may also include or be inte-grally formed with the dummy internal stiffeners.

The dummy internal stiffeners may be rigid structures sized and shaped substantially identical to the internal stiffeners and arranged on the dummy skin to represent the cured or uncured internal stiffeners during deformation of the SMP apparatus into the rigid tool configuration.

Il materiale plastico è composto di due strati: quello superiore contiene i meccanismi che si occupano della sensazione del tatto, mentre quello inferiore agisce come un circuito elettrico e trasporta il segnale al cervello.

Per riuscirci, i segnali elettrici vengono trasformati in stimoli biochimici compatibili con le cellule nervose.
