1 ea. 1 (pièce) Explanation: Usually, if this is a list giving quantities of different items, '1 ea. simply means '1 of each' — though very often is meaningless; i.e. it has a meaning if used in a liost item like: "3 balls (1 each red, green, blue)" but it is often used where there is no true element of 'each' There are other expressions often queried on KudoZ, particularly 1 off / 1 of / 1 no. / 1 × — which is now just a slightly old-fashioned convention in EN whe writing lists, where the writer feels it need something between the number giving the quantity and the description that follows, particualrly if the latter starts with a number. Consider the possible confusion if I write: "2 5-litre buckets" — that is of course intended to mean "2 buckets, each of 5 litres", but could be misread as "(an unspecified number of) 25-litre buckets"! Hence why we often see "2 off 5-litre bucket" and the like. In FR, I don't think you need anything at all, but 'pièce' or 'pce' is sometimes used in this sort of way. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 heures (2017-10-15 07:16:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Because we don't have the rest of your list, we don't know why they would have used 'each' here; other list items presumably may have different quantities, or this may be a list, say, of components for a pair of similar items (say left and right arms) where the writer is seeking to make it clear that EACH arm requires 1 (etc.) of the following items. Presumably your wider context makes this clearer. |
