Explanation:
Secondo me devi esplicitare meglio la frase, altrimenti in italiano risulterebbe strana e un po' contorta.
Qualcosa tipo "un tempo il tasso di mortalità oscillava tra il 2% e il 4%, mentre ora (è cresciuto e) varia dal 3% all'11%".

A me sembra che le percentuali mappino un percorso di aumento della mortalità nel tempo, "dal 2, al 4, al 3 ed infine all'11%", atteso come dice il testo in considerazione della aumentata "magnitude" dell'operazione. In pratica un piccolo aumento, un plateau/leggera diminuzione, e quindi un grosso aumento. Ci sono grafici o riferimenti bibliografici nel testo che potresti utilizzare per chiarire?
