In 1992, the HSE introduced a performance-related element so that the amount of the annual increment was adjusted to reflect the employee’s individual performance. Under this system high performing employees could reach the top of the scale more quickly. Following the introduction in 1995 of a Long Term Pay Agreement, annual pay increases were set in accordance with the award of points called ‘equity shares’ linked to the employee’s performance. Prima del 1992, tale sistema era basato su un sistema di incrementi, ossia ogni dipendente percepiva un aumento retributivo annuo sino al raggiungimento del livello retributivo massimo del suo grado. Nel 1992 la HSE ha introdotto un elemento della retribuzione legato al rendimento, per cui l’importo dell’aumento annuo veniva adeguato in modo da riflettere il rendimento del dipendente. In base a tale sistema, i dipendenti con rendimento più alto potevano così raggiungere più rapidamente il livello retributivo più elevato.
