As shown, even at this relatively moderate line speed, some amount of *matting* at the distal end of deformation is noticed.
This *matting*, which appears to be a higher density of flattened, compressed fiber portions, occurs on the portion of deformation associated during manufacturing with the tip of tooth.

Typical of this structure is broken fibers between the proximal portion, i.e., base, of deformations and the distal portion, i.e., the top, of deformations, and what appears to be a *“mat”* of fibers at the top of the deformation.

Inizialmente avevo tradotto "mat" come tappetino (seguendo anche la TM del cliente), ma non mi convince...

Potrebbe essere "formazione di feltro"??
