Plain trolley traction structure principle is shown in Fig.4. When the luffing motor drives the plain trolley traction reel rotates, one end of the wire rope is pull back, dragging the plain trolley. The other end of the wire rope is released and trolley moves to wire rope end. Because the traction reel diameter known conditions, therefore, the displacement and direction of trolley could be achieved through the speed and rotation direction of the reel. As a result, the synchronization gear is installed at the position of the trolley traction reel and luffing sensor rotates synchronously with the reel to detect the position of the plain trolley. Because the plain trolley luffing is invariable, so the precision potentiometer could be selected as the physical quantity sampling sensor.
