Spanish term or phrase: imputabilidad
Definitions section.
Causalidad: resultado del análisis de la imputabilidad y de la evaluación individual de la relación entre la administración de un medicamento y la aparición de una reacción adversa o problema relacionado al uso de los medicamentos.

None of the definitions I have found seem to fit the context

English translation:imputability
Explanation:
It's just another word for causality. The whole sentence is badly written and repetitive, and they're effectively saying "causality is the result of causality analysis".

I think you'd be justified in drastically rewriting this. "La evaluación individual de la relación entre la administración de un medicamento y la aparición de una reacción adversa" basically means "causality analysis" too, so they're saying the same thing three times.

neutral  philgoddard: I don't believe this has anything to do with accountability. It's about whether the symptoms are caused by the drug.

agree  Robert Carter: You're right, I didn't even notice that causality is the term they're trying to define by using this word, duh. I'm going to leave my answer anyway as it has a useful and authoritative reference.

[análisis de la] imputabilidad
causality [assessment]

Explanation:
I found this in the tremedica.org Glosario EN-ES de ensayos clínicos by Saladrigas et al., though from the look of it I think actually the English term "causality assessment" is rendered in your text by the phrase "análisis de la imputability"

"causality assessment: imputabilidad.
Notas: Se trata de un análisis, caso por caso, de la asocia- ción de causalidad entre un tratamiento farmacológico y la aparición de un acontecimiento adverso. El objetivo es de- terminar el grado de verosimilitud de que el medicamen- to administrado sea responsable de dicho acontecimiento (adaptado de Bégaud y Martín Arias, 1997)."

*Should read "análisis de la imputabilidad" at the end of the first paragraph above.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks Robert. I left it as "causality" as one or two others have said that "causality" is a synonym of "imputability" and also it sounds better
