This seems like a very specific reference to a text in which an Argentine artist now in her 50s explains the influence of the architects in her family on her work:

Vocación despertada, sin dudas, por los hermosos tableros de dibujo de mi tía Elena, con su parafernalia de Rotring, marcadores, escuadras, plantillas y rollos de calco. Para no mencionar la silla de altura regulable, giratoria y con rueditas. En aquellos tiempos A.CAD, mi abuelo también ejercía de arquitecto y mis padres ya habían abandonado a dúo la facultad de Ingeniería, luego de enamorarse en sus claustros. En cuanto a mi formación, después de unas vueltas por el pabellón 3 y otros escenarios, me resolví por la pintura

Explanation:
My reading - by analogy with a. de C - antes de Cristo.
Her aunt Elena's 'parafernalia' included the specialist furniture, drawing instruments, tracing paper etc. used by architects before AutoCAD.
