Cuando tocamos este material recordamos a esas personas tan antiguas, casi monos, que caminaban arrastrando palos inmensos, palos dinosaurios, haciendo marcas chicas cortas y marcas largas, caminos. ¿Para qué arrastraban? ¿Para poder volver por el mismo lado o para probar con otro sendero? ¿Para fundar un terreno, para fundar una idea? pues sí, la idea de dibujo.

My question is if "palos dinisaurios" refers to something specific...

dinosaur sticks


Explanation:
It's poetic and it plays with both the dimensions of the stick and the fact that these sticks were extremely old, old as dinosaurs.
