Explanation:
Not peculiar to Austria (or the legion of Luxembourg doctors qualifying over here - query: written by my French-speaking Lux neighbour upstairs), but the gerundive form might be. Funnily enough, a surgeon in Vienna made a very similar partially-cracked and incomplete fracture of ankle and tibia diagnosis on me when surmising London Marathon overtraining from many years before.

I'll leave ProZ medical translators to nail the rest of the phrase.
