Logrolling is a colorful phrase often used to describe trading of votes by legislative members to obtain passage of actions of interest to each legislative member.
The phrase is likely derived from the old custom of neighbors assisting each other with the moving of logs. If two neighbors had cut a lot of timber which needed to be moved, it made more sense for them to work together to roll the logs -- if you\'ll help me roll my logs, I\'ll help you roll yours.

... očito je da su potomci Washingtona prenijeli dobri starinski izraz u novaq vremena .
Vi bolje od mene znate da je izrečeno "kotrljanje klada".
Ja se međutim još sjećam da su, u djetinjstvu mi, šumski radnici specifičnim kukama oblika polumjeseca - kotrljali balvane/klade.
Da ih UZ KOSINU sa tla utovare na vagone ....
Jedsan sam nikad to ne bi mogao ... pa ni dvojica.

Budući bi danas teško bilo reći da u USA Kongresu itko "gura balvane" (hm ... ;-), je l' da) preostaje:
- uzajamna podrška
- međusobna podrška ...

A budući se radi o tomu da jedan drugomu "pogura" kandidaturu/program/listu te budući da se pojam "koaliranje" naširoko rabi na Europskom kontinentu u pitanjima političke suradnje ... eto ...
