Je suis tombé sur un problème dans le cadre d'une relecture que je fais actuellement. Il s'agit d'un texte qui parle de lentilles de contact.

"Identifying which of your patients would most likely benefit from multifocal contact lenses is key to guaranteeing successful fittings and repeat prescriptions. Communicating clearly with these patients is also vitally important to building their trust. Talk to your patients *before the onset of presbyopia*. This way, you can prepare them for the changes, and establish a partnership with them."

La phrase "Talk to your patients before the onset of presbyopia" est traduite par: "Avant de commencer, parlez à vos patients de la presbytie."

Qu'en pensez vous? A mon avis, "before the onset" veut dire "avant le début (de la presbytie)." Est-ce que ce vraiment dans le sens de "avant de commencer"? En effet, le texte parle souvent des plus de 45 ans, c'est pourquoi on s'attend évidemment à la presbytie. Donc, c'est probable d'en souffre tôt ou tard.
