タイマー機能(その場で調整) Explanation: My interpretation after reading the link you posted, would be a timer function which would be adjusted at that particular moment. The reason is that this function can be enabled when a commercially available timer or On/Off switch is added to the CNDM connector (option) on the control board of the outdoor unit. It seems to me that it's similar to one of those "Sleep mode" and "Wake up mode" on PC's where the PC will move to sleep mode after 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc. or by setting the time of the PC to start at say, 9am everyday. But the difference, I assume is that you could set this Demand function, say, after two hours after setting the time. These kinds of functions are quite popular or normal with air conditioners. My translation, hence, would be Timer Function (adjusted onsite) in Japanese. |

Demand Control Feature/Demand Control Function Explanation: I checked through the Japanese and English websites and found this information...Seems there is a "demand control" that helps reduce energy consumption during peak electricity periods. Please see English website below: http://www.mitsubishielectric.com.au/332.htm Energy saving Mitsubishi Electric is dedicated to developing air conditioners that are highly efficient. Improvements in energy savings in these models have been made possible through: • highly efficient DC scroll compressor • DC fan motor, which offer up to 60% greater efficency than an equivalent AC motor • 3 phase power supply, provides dramatic reduction of running current • demand control - reduce power consumption during peak electricity periods -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 33 mins (2009-12-06 13:08:51 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Timo, I am assuming that you wanted us to check the Japanese websites, etc. to come up with the proper English equivalent. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 39 mins (2009-12-06 13:15:33 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Below is another website on "demand control." It has many sentences using the word "demand control" such as: The present invention relates to a demand control apparatus for reducing the total power used by a group of loads. http://www.freepatentsonline.com/EP0561255.html -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2009-12-06 15:45:45 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- A note as to how I came up with my answer: I checked Mitsubishi air conditioner websites and found the words... デマンド機能 = literally "demand function" デマンド制御 = demand control I think it was literally translated as "demand function" without the word "control." It should have been demand control function. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day13 hrs (2009-12-08 01:45:05 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Thank you, Timo. :-) |
