Rezoluţia în termenii energiei poate fi exprimată ca raportul dintre banda întreagă a vârfului foto la jumătate din maximum faţă de energia vârfului foto exprimată ca procent.
Vârful foto este, de fapt, maximumul foto, dar "maximum" s-ar repeta şi ar complica înţelegerea frazei.
