Deschide urechea bine!/Nu-ti pierde stilul Explanation: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hip . hip 164 up, 46 down Cooler than cool, the pinnacle of what is "it". Beyond all trends and conventional coolness. Not to be mistaken for "deck". "Stay away from the tacky velvet-rope MTV frat-boy clubs on the beach. Check out this party downtown instead, it's gonna be hip." 2. hip 57 up, 7 down The state of being in-the-know, including, but not limited to, being stylish or fashionable. It is sometimes claimed to have replaced its predecessor, "hep," with the 1946 popular song, "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66," first recorded by Nat Cole, and the Rolling Stones (and many others) after that. According to the songwriter, he changed "hep" to "hip" for the sake of a rhyme (see example). . . . get hip / To this kindly tip / And take that California trip,/ Get your kicks on Route 66. sensul e cam acelasi cu "stay cool" sau mai degraba "get cool" si alta The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language: Fourth Edition. 2000. hip2 PRONUNCIATION: hp VARIANT FORMS: also hep ( hp) ADJECTIVE: Inflected forms: hip·per also hep·per, hip·pest, hep·pest Slang 1. hip it up! aici.. tine pasul/nu pierde legatura...? Explanation: Hip=cool (maybe "misto")" be hip"is "fashionable/in style'; a "hip crowd' is a group that sets the trend("trend setters")= select and stylish group =inventeaza o noua moda; in contextul asta,"hip up" poate fii " a sta informat/ a sta la curent/ a tine pasul cu. Daca alegi " a tine pasul" o lasi ambiguu in sensul ca se poate referi la ambele" a sta la curent" sau a "sta la moda" ceea ce s-ar lega mai bine cu " stay cool". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2007-12-07 22:25:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://search.babylon.com/?q=hipster&babsrc=toolbar&cid=tbr&... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2007-12-07 22:30:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This is more info about who " a hipster is/ a person who is hip"and how he is dressed. Please notice that the concept is still evolving. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hipster_(contemporary_subcultur... |
