Vsetko samozrejme zavisi od kontextu a ucelu prekladu.
Ja by som sa priklonila k akciovej spolocnosti, kedze slov. pravo nepozna ziadne verejne drzane spolocnosti. Vasa definicia v podstate vystihuje akciovky aj na Slovensku.

Podla Money Glossary je "publicly held company" identicka s "public company" a public company sa v komunitarnom prave bezne preklada ako akciova spolocnost (napr. nariadenie č. 2157/2001).

Asker: Diky za vycerpavajici info. Dotaz, muze na Slovensku existovat akciova spolecnost, jejiz akcie nejsou dostupne pro verejnost, tj nelze je koupit. Pokud ano, bude treba rict, ze je to akciovka, jejiz akcie jsou k mani pro verejnost

Asker: Obavanm se, ze akciove spolecnosti na Slovensku mohou byt i takove, co nejsou verejne obchodovane, takze to takhle prelozit nepujde.

disagree  Mike Gogulski: and concur with asker. I can go out and form an a.s. tomorrow, but it isn't a publicly held/traded company until it issues shares through a public offering.
