agree  urst: me gusta generalizado // it makes perfect sense, considering the amount of Victorian houses lining the streets of SF (looking very much the same). Gingerbread is one thing, cookie cutter another.

agree  Margaret Schroeder: Or "adornado". I think the author was confused, and was thinking of ornately ornamented Victorian *gingerbread* houses, quite different from mass-produced, standardized houses.
