GLOSSARY ENTRY (DERIVED FROM QUESTION BELOW)
English term or phrase:AF
Selected answer:Respiratory Rate (in German)
Entered by: liz askew

English language (monolingual) [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general)
English term or phrase: AF
PIP, PEEP, Fi02, AF

among these breath parameters I only could not find an explanation for AF. When entered into Google together with other abbreviations above, it produces either "Atrial Fibrillation" or initials of an author (like A.F. Andrews)

this is practically the same you´ve already found, i.e.: мерцание или фибрилляция предсердии
Sorry for the typo aboveю the term should read трепетание предсердии,

Atemfrequenz (AF)/Respiratory Rate (RR)

Explanation:
PIP. PEEP, FiO2, AF
PIP, PEEP, FiO2, RR
are typical respiratory parameters; most of the nomenclature used is international nomenclature, except in this case there is also "AF" which is German and stands for "Atemfrequenz".
AF = Atemfrequenz (in German)
RR = Respiratory Rate (in English)

For Example:
Die am Beatmungsgerät eingestellte FiO2 betrug stets 1,0 ... Beatmungsparameter AF = Atemfrequenz AZV = Atemzugvolumen PEEP = positiver endexspiratorischer Druck
edoc.hu-berlin.de/dissertationen/boesel-matthias-2004-07-05/XML/_pre.xml

The setting parameters of BIPAP were FiO2 60%, inspiratory to expiratory ratio 1∶1, respiratory rate 20/min, PEEP 5 cm H2O, and PIP was adjusted to ...

Reference information:
This may seem odd...I am unable to find "AF" in this context on any English medical site, FWIW.

I only found it in German:

It would be helpful to know whether there are any measurements after "AF".
