Hola amigos, este es el texto de la Wikipedia sobre los "aceleradores circulares de partículas".

No sé cómo traducir ese "à énergie égale" (lo pongo en mayúsculas más abajo):

"Parmi les « circulaires » on distingue d'abord ceux qui emploient un champ magnétique fixe, (et un aimant massif) et où, par suite, les trajectoires sont des spirales : ce sont le cyclotron (E. Lawrence, 1929) et le synchrocyclotron (conçu à Berkeley en 1946). Au contraire, dans les synchrotrons (E. Mc Millan et V. Veksler), le champ magnétique varie pendant l'accélération, de telle sorte que celle-ci a lieu sur un cercle invariable et que l'électroaimant (annulaire) est, À ÉNERGIE ÉGALE, considérablement réduit. Les synchrotrons sont donc, pour des raisons économiques, les accélérateurs permettant d'avoir des orbites de très grand rayon."
