The third bullet, qualification as an interpreter or translator, means that the applicant must either obtain an academic degree as ***“Diplom-Übersetzer,”**** based on a four-year university program , or pass a state examination for translators and interpreters, including oral and written exams and a discussion of professional policy.

Explanation:
in Germania sunt:
- absolvirea unei facultati de specialitate (traducere/interpretariat)
alternativ:
- promovarea examenului de certificare "Befähigung zum staatlich geprüften Übersetzer" organizat de diverse institutii (in functie de Land)
- cazier "curat"

Traducatorii veniti din alte tari (care isi stabilesc domiciliul in Germania si doresc sa lucreze in continuare ca traducatori autorizati pentru traducerea si legalizarea de documente juridice) au nevoie de o adeverinta de examinare ca traducatori din tarile lor (pentru Romania este examenul organizat de MC), in care una din limbi sa fie germana. Adeverinta/diploma de filolog, dupa caz, se trimite Ministerului Invatamantului din Landul in care domiciliaza pentru echivalarea ei.

Toti se pot adresa apoi tribunalelor Landului în care domiciliaza cu o cerere insotita de actele doveditoare ale calificarii lor (copie legalizata a diplomei/adeverintei in limba tarii din care provin), copie legalizata a traducerii in lb. germana, (copie legalizata a dovezii de echivalare a studiilor), copie legalizata a buletinului/pasaportului ca dovada a domiciliului, cazier si timbre judiciare.
