Biotechnology/Scientific Instrumentation Explanation: Introduction to Biotechnology Instrumentation This course* is designed to introduce students to various instruments used in the industry. The student will use and maintain various instruments in the lab which includes ordering reagents and requesting technical support from the manufacturer. The student will perform experiments using our high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), fast-protein liquid chromatography (FPLC), gas-chromatography-mass spectroscopy, and DNA sequencer instruments, to name a few.
