Thank you, delveneto. Sure, being a Ph.D. chemist, does not make me infallible. However, this is elementary chemistry for someone who has been in the field for 30 years. -oyl and oxy and not mutually exclusive. They both exist. So Google can't tell us which one. One has to look at the question. it is clearly "-oyl" and oxypropyl. I said I had a typo. But that's not the point here. Also there should be no blank after "tris". That is not a minor thing. This is a scientific field..

I understand NOTHING about this but:

There are 48 google hits for ...cyl...
There are thousands of hits for ...cryl...

Anyway, it is ... propyl... and not ...popyl... AND it is ...loxy... and not ...loyl..., according to the thousands of Google hits. I understand these may be typos but when typing these "weird" terms extreme focus is required since each letter, even spaces, maybe, are significant.

It is methacryloyl and not methacyl. Very different things...

delveneto, I appreciate your input. Judith is a true expert in the field (PhD, many years experience, etc.). I only took two undergraduate courses in chemistry, inorganic and organic. I am totally out of league in this area, but fortunately people like you and Judy are kind enough to give me a helpingi hand. Thank you. Mike :)
