"Açığa alma, resen emeklilik, göreve son verilmesi, tayin veya sair hallerde görevlinin mahkemeye başvurması halinde, mahkeme kararı kesinleşinceye kadar sendikadaki görevi devam eder."

Kamu Görevlileri Sendikaları Kanunu'nun çevirisinde geçmişti. O zaman "temporary removal from office" demişim! Nasıl çevirmem gerekirdi?

LAY-OFF. The termination of one or more employees as result of the application of the order of Lay-off, due to lack of work or lack of funds.

lay off, to dismiss (an employee), esp. temporarily because of slack business.

Lay off Priority: The priority entitlement refers to employees who have been laid off owing to lack of work, discontinuance of a function, or the transfer of work or a function outside the Public Service (alternative service delivery initiative).


A person on lay-off is one whose written or unwritten contract of employment, has been suspended by the employer for a specified or unspecified period at the end of which the person concerned has a recognised right or recognised expectation to recover employment with that employer. This category of the population is never considered as employed. They are considered unemployed if they were actively looking for work in the last 4 weeks and if they are available to start work in 2 weeks; otherwise they are classified as inactive.
