About me
I am a postgraduate student currently studying a Masters of Translation Studies (Japanese-English specialisation) and working towards gaining a NAATI qualification to work as a freelance translator in Australia. I have lived in Japan for over 10 years and passed the highest level of the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test); N1. Previously, I worked in the travel industry in Japan. My specialities are travel, blogs, media (news), proofreading English translations from Japanese.

Expectations:

I would be interested in undertaking an internship during the long semester break (November to February) in order to gain insight into how language service providers operate and what skills I will need to build to start getting work after graduation. I am living between Japan and Australia (both similar time zones) so am able to assist with translations in different time zones (UK or US for example). Ideally, I would like to work towards working as a freelance Japanese-English translator.
