As long as Java for MacOS with Intel chips is maintained and updated, CafeTran should keep running there. This, in turn, may depend on Apple's own support for Macs with Intel processors.

Yes, I understand that. But it would be nice if you could test CafeTran Espresso with macOS Sonoma 14.5 when it is released.

(I was convinced I posted this before, but cannot see the posting anywhere, so here it comes again) After installing the 14.5 beta 4 version, I can say that Cafetran opens and works like a charm. Bad news: Wordfast Pro 9 has not been revived by this new OS which is still in its Beta 4 version. OmegaT 6.1 however works as before. No problems with Parallels and Windows 11 either.

Just to be sure (doppelt genäht hält besser), I've ordered a Samsung T9 with 1 TB: I'll use SuperDuper to create a boot SSD on it.

Having nothing better to do I just checked the Sonoma release candidate. My DAWs work fine, Wordfast Pro 9 does not. Final version of Sonoma is due next week. However, I will make a final check on the final version, too, just to be on the safe side. Apple's not anymore what is used to be...
