Looking for a mentor in medical translation

Hello there,

Sorry I have not been able to find a relevant topic on the forum so I created one.

Any medical translators available for mentoring? I am new to the field of translation, my language pair is French to English, and my background is in healthcare (I am also a speech and language therapist).

ITI Medical & Pharmaceutical Network May 2, 2019

Have you considered joining the ITI Medical and Pharmaceutical Network? https://www.itimedical.co.uk/ It does offer a mentoring programme. I'm pretty sure this year's is already running, though, so maybe an option for next year if you can wait? Aside from that, I would recommend joining anyway - not expensive (£15/year - and you don't have to be an ITI member), there are regular works... See more

I see there are some mentors who also offer at least one of your combinations in the medical field.

Mentoring: upstream/downstream May 2, 2019

 Having learned from senior colleagues, I also believe that unlike narrow-purpose hard skills courses, even part-time apprenticing or "internship" is more comprehensive and practical for developing one's personality as a pro (interrelated hard/soft skills and mindset).
