Requirements to swear a translation in Rome

I am an established It-En translator, working in Rome. I have never had to swear any of my translations, and the little research I've done up til now into what it takes to be able to do so suggests that I need to be 'abilitata', and I know of other people in Italy outside of Rome who have had to submit a load of info and docs to the chamber of commerce/the local court/other bodies in order to be just that.

Some are suggesting that anyone can swear, and whilst based on the actual wording of a swear in England, certainly this would be the case there, I don't know what the wording is here whether it can in fact be that simple.
