Hi there,

I am new to SDL Trados Studio. I'm trying to open a package (includes translation and TM) and I get the following error:
Failed to load project from 'C:\Mis documentos\Traductions\Clients et contacts\........sdlproj': Could not find file 'C:\Mis documentos\Traductions\Clients et contacts\...............sdlproj'.

Any idea on how to solve this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help

Fabrice

Have you been given the whole Project? Jan 18, 2010

Hi Fabrice,

The message suggests that you have not got all the files. Did you receive a Studio package with the extension sdlppx?

Regards

Paul

No response Feb 11, 2010

Hello aguamelc,

I'm not sure why but I didn't receive a response from Fabrice in trying to investigate this more thoroughly (maybe we have an old email address on file?). If you can send me your sdlppx file I would be happy to take a look. You can send it to [email protected] or if it's too large just mail me and I'll send you ftp details.

Regards

Paul

Create the path Trados Studio cannot find Jul 8, 2010

My fellow translator has just had the same problem. She managed to solve the problem after creating manually the path that trados studio cannot find. She also coppied a "dummy" sdlproj file so that trados studio can overwrite it with the file from the package.

I think this problem appears when we try open a package that we have opened before and that the files have been deleted from our machine.

Just curious.... Jul 11, 2010

Is there any reason for not installing SP1?
Service patches normally have bug fixes and minor enhancements. I always install them straightaway, but I suppose it may be wise to wait a week just to make sure know one is reporting any serious problems.
