Arabic term

المزاودة

Arabic to English Social Sciences Government / Politics Arabic political jargon
I have heard this expression many times in Arabic, but I am not quite sure what the English equivalent is.
It comes in contexts like المزاودة السياسية
Or in a sentence such as this one:
ونذكر جميع الاجهزة والسلظات السورية باننا سوريين ونحب بلدنا وليس لأحد المزاودة علينا بالوطنية إذا كان البلد في خطر فلنحترم حقوق بعضنا وكرامتنا

To push up the bidding

This is a figurative use which means exactly the same in Arabic.
Please note that since the expression belongs mostly to the Arab rhetoric, I was not able to find it in the very same context in any site although the "real meaning" does exisit.

claim more patriotic

I don't think there is a corresponding phrase in English. However, we can express the meaning as follows:

Nobody may claim to be more patriotic than us.
Nobody may play down/understate our patriotism.
