French term
objet
French to English
Bus/Financial
Finance (general)
credit risk assessment
Switzerland. These 'objets' are pledged real properties that are sold by a lender to make good on a loan gone bad. I want to use 'property' here, but since there is also use made of 'bien immobilier' I wonder if this is something different/more generic, or if it's just the French way of varying vocabulary.

goods
Here's a huge bilingual document that refers to 'objet(s)' as 'goods' in lots of different forms....there are some other translations but goods is the main one...

If you wanted to be more specific you could call it an 'estate'

: I think that this would usually be right, but one doesn't refer to real estate as "goods".
