I know this option is similar to the ones proposed but I think it sounds better this way, I also think "shameful" has a slightly different connotation in English to the word "vergonzoza" in Spanish

or shocking... I don't think you need to be literal, I mean, shameful would be the word but it is not strong enough, at least for me.
