Norwegian term
måloppnåelse
Norwegian to English

I am struggling with the Norwegian term "måloppnåelse", and I hope someone will be kind enough to help me out here. I find myself stuck with my own translation of: "the degree of which the object of the assignment is achieved", but I'm not happy with it. It's too long and lacks a certain "shazam" - if you understand what I'm getting at. Any help would be much appreciated! :)

The source text may well be understood as "the degree to which the object of the assignment is achieved", but it doesn't actually SAY this - that is left to the understanding of the reader. There is no reason why English readers should have an easier time. Otherwise, you risk falling into the trap of 'improving' the text in translation.

I appreciate all the agreements, who also agree in suggesting goal achievements as an alternative. In my view, the main difference between goal and target is that you either reach your goal or you miss it, while you can reach a share or percentage of your target. It's kind of a gut feeling, and many of you know I have you beaten in the gut department...

There's probably an even more academesey way to say this, but nothing more shazamful comes to mind at the moment...
