Discussion

Peter Clews Jan 9, 2008:
My understanding is that a beaker would have vertical walls and a wide mouth, while a flask would have a narrow mouth and possibly a long neck (volumetric flasks: spherical with long necks, Erlenmeyer flasks: conical bodies and small necks, etc)

glass flask

A piece of equipment used in my Chemistry classes in school...I think this was what we called them. Good luck!

DRAE 1. m. Vaso de vidrio o de cristal, de forma generalmente esférica y terminado en un tubo estrecho y recto, que se emplea en los laboratorios químicos.

Not sure here, because the description isn't exactly what I expected, but it doesn't quite match the flask either... Any chemists about?
