Norwegian term

Langdag

Norwegian to English Art/Literary Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
Can anyone please help me out with a suggestion for the English equivalent to the Norwegian "langdag"? I need something short and snappy, but can't think of a single-word translation right now.
Any suggestions would be appreciated at this point!

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Apr 12, 2008:
I assumed the expression was be self-explanatory, and that is why I did not include the context. I will make sure to be explicit the next time I need help though.

If you knew that to begin with, why not providing the context, a paragraph, etc.? We're just wasting our time with "possible" solutions when we could have gone straight to the core of the problem.
CanAng (asker) Mar 9, 2008:
It could be used in connection with stores/malls having extended shopping hours, but that was not exactly what I needed this translation for. It was used in a text about a person who had a "langdag" at work (not related to shops). I chose to re-write the passage, and I am therefore closing this question without awarding points this time.
Thank you all for trying to help me!

Got context? Does it just mean extended shopping hours, or does it mean a special arrangement by for instance a mall with special sales, entertainment, long opening hours, etc.?

agree Andrew Alix : This is a word used for Shopping centers who open for longer hours than normal.

neutral Thomas Deschington (X) : Yes, but the question is if there's more implied than just extended opening hours, cf. my note above.
